LOS ANGELES, USA

It’s safe to say that I definitely crossed some things off my bucket list! T’was one of the best vacay’s I’ve ever had. LA is sucha vibe! Right from the shopkeepers and ticket sellers calling you ‘sweetheart’ or a grandpa ‘honey’, to the amazing beaches or world tourist attractions!

DISNEYLAND

Disneyland deserves a post of its own. But it has to be included in the LA post. (It’s actually located in Anaheim, an hour away from central LA, but potato-potahto 😉

Disneyland is truly ‘one of the happiest places on earth‘. Kids, Teenagers, lovers, grandparents -it has something for anyone and everyone!

Ideally you need a miminum of two days to visit most of the main rides and attractions. But I chose a three-day trip. 2days: Disneyland Park 1 day: Disney California Adventure Park! You can buy a park hopper ticket but that costs extra!

HIGHLIGHTS:

  1. Stay for the fireworks show at night and try to stand near the pink castle! ITS AMAZING!
  2. Big Thunder Mountain railroad
  3. LAND : Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge – RIDE – Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, wherein you can be a pilot, gunner or engineer and are in control of the fastest ship in the galaxy. (Warning: When I went the lines were huge, it was the longest wait time on all three days)
  4. I remember I was so scared to go on the Incredi-coaster cause it goes upside down but I promise you, you’ll be proud of yourself when you do! I went with my grand-dad okay, and he did it – so can you !!!!!!
  5. Indiana jones ride!

TIPS :

  • 1)Download the Disneyland app on your phone, you can get real time information on rides, wait times, directions! PLUS, it’s free!
  • 2) Plan your trip on a website called RideMax! It’s a very accurate planning tool available for free! I planned all my days in advance, reduced the wait times to a minimal, guys I SWEAR’d by it. BEST website! It even accounts for lunch time :). CUSTOMIZE YOUR DAYS!
  • 3) Arrive as early as possible, to make the most of your money and save you wait times for popular rides! (I arrived at 7-8 am everyday but trust me it was worth it!)
  • 4) ADVICE : for the wet rides I carried a light waterproof jacket (it was summer, my whole fam was jealous-this is for the girls who don’t wanna ruin their hair like me ahaha)
  • 5) FastPasses are free, you can go to the booth’s next to the ride and take one after scanning your ticket

SANTA MONICA

FAV PLACE ON EARTH.

Best day I’ve ever had

IF YOU LOVE CARNIVALS, SUNSETS, BEACHES, SEAFOOD, GOLDEN HOUR, THE SEA and FERRIS WHEELS, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU

PACIFIC PARK AT THE SANTA MONICA PIER stole my heart!

We all are kids at heart, I spent the morning on all the rides, bumper cars was fun, the roller coaster too. Then ate lunch and went straight into the water!

The waves were just amazing! A guy came up to me and gave me a board for free 😀 ahaha he was leaving and I didn’t have to buy one!

Riding the waves till the sunset was just indescribable! I took pictures, sun-bathed and rode the waves, if you have a partner that’s great but I had my granddad 🙂 who held my hand throughout!

When it became dark I went back to pacific park and went on the Ferris wheel a bunch of times (hehe)! So magical! (THE LINE-UPs were longer in the evening but 10 min waits were worth it! 😀 )

TIP:

  1. If its your first time at Pacific park buy an all-day pass
  2. Go on the ferris wheel at night, the view is just amazing
  3. Ride the waves, buy a board its worth it ($10-$15)
  4. Carry flip-flops+towel for the beach
  5. Carry a Bikini/swimsuit

Universal Studios

Universal Studios is a must-go! It only requires a day! The studio tour is so enjoyable full of unexpected experiences and Jimmy Fallon was the audio-tour guide..

All Harry Potter fans MUST MUST MUST try the ButterBeer -ITS SO YUMMY- butterscotch flavour < 3 plus, I got to keep the mug as a souvenir!

Highlights:

  • ButterBeer at Wizarding World of Harry Potter
  • Harry Potter & the forbidden journey – WARNING-It’ll shake you up
  • Jurassic World Ride!
  • Revenge of the mummy – the ride went backwards -scary but t’was fun!
  • STUDIO TOUR
  • SHOWS

Tips:

  1. There are two lots-Upper & Lower- don’t waste time going up and down, I started with my top ride interests in the Upper and then did the same with the lower and with the remaining time decided where I wanna go
  2. Don’t miss the Studio tour & make sure you keep your phone securely attached to yourself- I almost dropped mine lol
  3. I lost my jacket there- so be careful w your belongings!
  4. Don’t miss the shows. There were 3 live shows- I went to all of them! WaterWorld was my favourite- so much action, fire, water, shooting, fighting and love! It was a thriller!
